Onboard Air Maritius, we caught a glimpse of what Mauritius will be and it was truly amazing to see the island surrounded by delicate reefs as seen this aerial shot of the island.

Dark clouds hover between the sun and the sugar fields of the Mauritian land on the way to the hotel. We thought it would be a gloomy day to start with...

Surprisingly, upon moving up north-eastern area of the island on the tour bus at high speed, the sky became clear and blue, as we happily enjoy the swaying flowers of the sugarcane plants and the cool 23 degree breeze - natural air-con!

Finally, we reach the hotel - Beau Rivage. The reception area was an especially inviting place - after the 7 to 8 hours flight and 1 hour ride from the airport in the south...

The Beau Rivage hotel was a very pleasant hotel. The staff were very friendly and we were pleasantly greeted by the sight of three nicely placed apple on a ceramic white plate on the room table - cutlery provided too!

On the first day, we sat by the sunchair, waiting for the sun to go down. It was about 7:15pm when the sky began to turn dark and this was taken before the last light disappeared from the darkened sky. 8 seconds exposure at f7.1.

The next morning was a walk on the beach on this beautiful day. One of the beach-goer playing with a stunt kite which has two lines, and can be controlled with both hands.

As I was walking down the beach round, I turned back and saw these beautifully blue sky with dramatic white clouds.

Just liked the clouds so much, I went nearer to the water and shot the entire resort's beach front from the distance with the same wide-angle lens (15mm).

Back to the room. A nice red hibiscus flower was floating in a decorative bowl of water. Pretty. So here it is - before it whithers in 6 hours time :)
