This tsunami warning tower greeted us as we made our way to the beach. Painted in red and white, it reminds of the damages when the tsunami came and took the lives of the people here...

Long tail boat was one of the main mode of transport, especially in the earlier days, when people had to move goods from one island to another. The engine seemed like make-shift vehicular engineer retro-fitted with propellers.

Aonang Beach itself is not a pretty sight...it is more of a springboard to other offshore islands

Due to erosion from the waves beating against the rock formation, there is a "thinner neck" as you can see in this photo. Note the vastness of the rock surface as compared to the person's siloeutte.

These kayaks are not for the faint hearted. With the raging sea waves and rocks surrounding the area, it would have been very dangerous for amateurs to venture out to the deep sea in these vulnerable sea-faring vessels.

A transportation worker moving a crippled tourist around the beach area. The vehicle is a make-shift wheel-chair. In the sand, this is the next best thing to be travelling it. The wheel-chair would have gotten stuck in the sand with the thin/slimmer tyres.
