This is the hotel (Krisdadoi Chiangmai Aprime Resort) which we stayed for the first 2 days. The restaurant served very nice food. It's recommended for couples seeking to spend some time together without any interruption or distraction. You can't stay too long though, cos may get bored.

This plant look somewhat like lavender, but it does not have the smell of the lavender. Nevertheless, the whole bed of purple flowers does conjure the image of lavender field no unlike those found in Australia.

Pei among the beautiful yellow flowers. Be not fooled though. Pei did not "bash through" the bed and killed the plants. She merely walked into a small path between two beds. Due to camera angle, it appears she is "surrounded" :)

We hired a driver, Sak, to drive us around town to visit the various ceramic, silk, lacquerware, umbrella, jewellery and other establishments around. This is the central airport plaza where we will shop in the last 2 days of our trip.

This man is apply motifs and paintings onto the surface of the umbrella. This is a labour intensive industry, employing both general labour to prepare materials, as well as craftsmen to add designs to these umbrellas.

This is a scene from the umbrella factory; I had a hard time shooting these folks because lighting was a problem, plus there were a lot of visitors and tourists crowding around each "station" which processes a part of the umbrella before it is completed.

Makan place near the Baan Tawai area, where handicrafts, bags, decorative stuff are at low, wholesale price. Be prepared to walk around and you could still bargain, but not too much.

The next morning, after breakfast, we took a tripod out and took some couple shots. In many trips, Henry is not in the picture as he is busy shooting photos; so it is good to take some photos together. :)

More photos! Too bad the sun light is getting a little harshly bright, so we have shadows on the right side of our faces.
